The number one priority for BHAA's teeball experience — designed for boys and girls ages 6 and under — is for the kids to have fun and experience the ups and downs of achievement. Along the way, they will learn the basics of baseball.

Teeballers send season out with a splash
The morning of June 28 defied the odds for BHAA's 2008 class of teeballers. Despite gloomy morning skies, the rain never came, and it would have been outdone if it had.

It was a day to celebrate the many small triumphs of our community's youngest ballplayers. Nearly 150 teeballers, ranging in age from 3 to 6, shared the upper field complex, tagged out a few of their parents in makeshift mini-games, and gave themselves a well-deserved round of applause as they proudly received participation trophies and accolades from their coaches.

After a morning of mini-games and trophy presentations, the young ones ran wild, many of them stripping off their uniforms to run through the world's largest sprinkler shower. The generous firefighters from No. 34 Truck in Woods Run visited the field and created a splishy, splashy wonderland in celebration of the friendships and skills earned during the teeball season.

Many thanks to all the coaches and parents who helped to make the season possible. See you next year!
